The Meridian Connection API is a very basic interface that allows third-party developers to create a basic document management interface with a Meridian Enterprise vault. The interface contains basic functions like information retrieval, adding and removing documents, and checking documents in and out. The application programming interface (API) can easily be used from Microsoft Visual Basic .NET, VBScript, or other development applications.
