Windows Server 2019 compatibility

Background

Currently, Meridian does not support Windows Server 2019 because Windows Search is not supported in that server version. Microsoft may release a patch in the near future that resolves this issue.

Description

The new operating system includes an update of Windows Search with stricter security that prevents the Meridian content crawler from updating the full-text index that is required for memo property and document content searches in PowerWeb and Meridian Explorer. The result is that those types of searches will not work. Normal property searches are not affected. See Operating Systems.
