New in AM2006: Viewer support

Cimmetry AutoVue Redlining

In the AutoManager 2006 release it is possible to use the markup capabilities of the Cimmetry AutoVue viewer. The redlines will be stored in the AutoManager vault in the same way as standard redlines and managed with the document they belong to. To enable this functionality, on every client machine a special set of registry entries should be imported into the registry. the registry settings come in 2 variants:

• To view documents with AutoVue 17, 18 or 19, import AutoVue 171 SP1.reg;
• To view and redline documents with AutoVue 17, 18 or 19, import AutoVue 17-19 redline support.reg.

Both registry files can be found in the Viewers folder of AM-Meridian (by default this is C:\Program Files\AM-Meridian\Program\Viewers)

Please note that once AutoVue is used for markup, the redlines will not show up in AutoCAD. Also the redlines are not accessible to non-AutoVue users.

DWG TrueView

With AutoManager 2006 a set of registry settings is provided to enable Autodesk DWG TrueView 2006 as a add-in viewer for AutoCAD DWG files. This registry file, DWGTrueView.reg, can be found in the Viewers folder of AM-Meridian (by default this is C:\Program Files\AM-Meridian\Program\Viewers).

Note that DWG TrueView 2006 changes the registration of AutoCAD DWG files when a drawing is opened in it. To correct this, AutoCAD should be started manually.

Advanced Viewer

In AutoManager 2006 MicroStation drawings can be viewed using the new 'AutoManager Advanced Viewer'. This functionality requires a separate license.
