Create New Revisions In a Workflow Transition
New revisions of documents can be created automatically during specific workflow transitions. These revisions are irrespective of new revisions created by the document type definition.
To create new revisions in a workflow transition:
- In Configurator, expand Workflow Definitions in the configuration tree and select the workflow definition you want to edit. Its property pages appear in the right pane.
- Click the States tab to display the current workflow.
- Click the Edit button to modify the workflow.
- Double-click the transition the transition that you want to configure. The transition’s Properties page appears.
- On the Revision Number tab, click options or type values using the descriptions in the following table.
- Click the OK button to close the Properties dialog.
- Click the OK button to save your changes.

Select this option to create a new revision when this transition is executed. Otherwise, no revision is created. There is no option for users to manually create revisions when executing a transition. If you want to give users this choice, consider enabling the Allow manual creation of revision option of the destination state instead. |

Select Use this expression to calculate the revision number. Type a VBScript expression or click the Meridian Enterprise Script Editor button to build a VBScript expression.
