New in IC2007-1: Template databases for Open BriefCase

A new feature has been added that allows further customization to the Open BriefCases. These BriefCases can among others be based on Zip and Rar, and properties are exchanged in an Excel workbook or Access database file that is included in the archive. It is now possible to create and use a template Access database to include in the BriefCase.

To create a new empty template database, select 'View BriefCase' to open the BriefCase dialog, and create a new BriefCase based on Zip or Rar. In this empty BriefCase press the 'Export DB Template' button to save the database at the desired location. You can now customize the database by adding Forms or properties as needed. Note that properties defined in the database template, but not defined in the relevant PropertyMappings section of the BriefCases settings are simply ignored.

To use the template add the DBTemplate key to the definition section of your BriefCase, for example:
