New in IC2007: Open BriefCase

The BriefCase feature now provides an additional industry standard format to exchange CAD files and assemblies (and other documents) with associated meta-data and references between sites or engineering teams. The Open BriefCase format (a ZIP archive) does not require the receiver to have InnoCielo Meridian Enterprise, InnoCielo TeamWork or InnoCielo View in place to use it and to return an updated BriefCase. This enables document exchange with external parties and with other document management systems. Instead of a ZIP archive also other formats can be plugged in. To use the Open Briefcase functionality WinZip or WinRAR needs to be installed.
