About Offline Mode

See: Offline Client and Offline Mode

Offline Mode enables users to access their documents without a permanent connection to the server. The user's documents are stored in the Local Workspace. They can be synchronized with the server if an Internet connection is available.

Remote users can manage the documents in their Local Workspace using the Offline Client. This application displays the available documents including the most important state information and property values. The information is all stored on the local machine. Users can work with their documents without any connection to the server.

With the AM2004b release, all application links also support Offline mode. The links are able to resolve and update references, and perform property synchronization. The reference and property information is stored in the Local Workspace.

An Internet connection can be used to upload or download information between the Local Workspace and the server. This can be done from either the Offline client or the WebAccess client.
