BlueCielo TeamWork 2012 Release Notes | BlueCielo ECM Solutions |
The Application Integration involves the special 'file open' and 'save as' dialog box. It allows users to access Vault documents directly. By default the user can use this dialog box from any application. The user is free to switch between the standard Windows dialog box and its AM-Application Integration counterpart.
AutoManager 2004 can be configured to force users to use the Application Integration for a specific application, in which case the user will no longer be able to switch to the standard windows dialog box.
To configure this option select the 'Show AutoManager dialog for...' option in the context menu accessible through the Application Integration icon. This will launch a dialog box that creates the 'Force list'.
Before the introduction of AutoManager 2004, the AM-Application Integration feature already supported two related features.
This list can also be modified from the context menu. It is in fact the opposite of the 'Force list' - applications on this list will always use the standard 'file open' and 'save as' dialog boxes.
Please note that the 'exclusion list' will override any settings in the 'force list'.
The 'Force list' and 'Exclusion list' settings are stored in the registry. Because they are stored under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE it is possible to deny a user the privilege to modify these settings.
The menu items to configure Application Integration can be hidden from the user. This is useful when users should not be able to alter Application Integration settings.
By setting the 'DisableAIMenu' registry value to 1, the listed items will be hidden from the menu:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cyco\<Active Product>\CurrentVersion\AMHookTray]
"DisableAIMenu"=dword:00000001
