New in AM2004: Configurable initial state for derived documents

In the past newly derived or replaced documents where created in the 'Unchanged' state. Although technically correct, this leads to a undesirable revisions problem.

Before the new document can be edited, a new revision has to be created. Since the initial revision is an exact copy of the derived (or replaced) document, this extra revision is often not wanted.

In AutoManager 2004 it is possible to configure a Document Type to start derived and replaced document in the 'Under Change' or 'Quick Change' state.

Note:

In a Vault or Work Area with Work Isolation Mode the 'Working Copy' state is used.

This option can be set in the Configurator on the 'Workflow' page of the Document Types.
