New in AM2003d: Offline Client and Offline Mode

Offline mode and Offline Client are introduced in AutoManager 2003d release.

Offline mode is aimed to be used by remote users working with Local Workspace and WebAccess and using only an Internet connection to the vault. In Offline mode the user can work with a subset of the documents from a vault. The Local Workspace contains the document content, document status information and document references.

The Offline client does not use a DCOM connection to the EDM server. It can be used to manage the documents in the users Local Workspace while in Offline mode. It uses WebAccess to perform basic check-in/check-out functionality (including property and reference synchronization).
