BlueCielo TeamWork 2012 Release Notes | BlueCielo ECM Solutions |
A new feature has been added to the Autodesk® Inventor integration that
supports a whole new way of handling revisions for assemblies. A new command
called "AutoManager Derive" is available for components in Inventor.
This command creates a new derivative of that component in the AutoManager
vault and automatically replaces the instance in the Inventor assembly.
The new derivative will be created in the same directory as the main assembly
that is currently open in Autodesk Inventor.
The derive feature can be used as the primary method of revising Inventor documents. By disallowing changing released documents, derive provides a powerful and flexible way of revising assemblies without the need to copy the entire assembly first.
Please see the user guide for more information on the derive feature. Also see the AutoManager BOM module documentation for more information on working with Autodesk Inventor in combination with AutoManager Meridian.
