AM-Meridian OnlyNew in AM2006: Custom Tables

Besides the existing lookup lists capable of storing and retrieving lists of predefined values, two new approaches are introduced in AutoManager 2006 - tables and queries.

Tables extend the functionality of lookup lists so that it is possible to keep several columns of data in a table, so they can be considered as multi-column lookup lists. Tables are very much suitable for implementation of cascading lookup lists where a set of allowed values for a property depends on the values of some other properties.

A Query is a type of a lookup list that allows to extract data from an external source such as Microsoft Access Database, SQL Server Database, or any other data source for which an OLEDB provider is available.

Both tables and queries are accessible through the use of VBScript.
