New in AM2006: External Page

It is now possible to configure an AutoPage for a document type so that an external URL, that can be a static HTML, ASP or ASP.NET page, will be used to show properties of the document. This way a customized user interface can be incorporated into AutoManager that will work in both types of clients: WebAccess and PowerUser.

A number of parameters are provided for the external page so that the ASP (or ASP.NET) page can use the query string to:

Open the correct vault and Work Area.
Find the currently selected document.
Detect the currently selected view.
Detect the current edit mode and react to the OK, Cancel and Apply buttons.
Change the appearance of the page for different clients.
