AutoCAD Drawing Opens Read-Only
When an AutoCAD
drawing opens read-only in AutoCAD, even though it is a working copy for
the current user, there are three possible causes:
- The
drawing is damaged and needs to be repaired. To open the drawing read-write
so that it can be repaired, close the drawing, disable the viewer in the
PowerUser, and open the drawing again. Then use the AUDIT command in AutoCAD.
- The
viewer in the PowerUser did not release the drawing fast enough when the
PowerUser lost focus. Disable the viewer, and open the drawing again.
- The
suspend resume viewer-option in the PowerUser is not enabled.
