Exporting properties and files

You can export the information shown in the Documents view in Custom list mode as a .csv file that can be opened as a spreadsheet. You can export either only the property values or the property values and the files attached to the documents shown in the view.

Note Meridian Project Portal exports the data from all of the items to a single compressed archive (.zip) file. The file includes a .csv file that contains the property values of all the exported documents and folders that contain the files attached to each document. The .csv file is exported with the ISO 8859, Latin character set to ensure compatibility with Microsoft Excel. The folders within the .zip file are named according to each document ID.

To export properties and files:

1. In the Documents view, in the ribbon, in the Show group, click Custom. The list refreshes to show the Custom list configuration.
2. In the ribbon, in the List group, click Export. A shortcut menu appears.
3. Select an output format option from either Current Page (the visible list) or All Results (the entire list). To export the files as well as the properties, select one of the options that includes the text with files. The browser's file download dialog box appears.

3. Click Open to open the file immediately without saving it first or click Save to save the file for later viewing.
