If your documents contain asset tag IDs either as plain text or as AutoCAD attributes, the Asset Management Module can extract that information (if configured by a system administrator) and store it in the vault. The information is stored as a tag list for each document. The information can then be used to match objects that also reside in the vault. You can link the matching objects to the document that contains the tags or create new objects that are missing in the vault. The Asset Management Module can also generate graphical hotspots (in AutoCAD drawings only) for the tags in the viewer window that you can click to navigate to linked objects in the vault. Specifying how tag information is extracted and stored and how it relates to objects in the vault must be configured by a system administrator as described in the BlueCielo Meridian Asset Management Module Administrator's Guide.
