About working in Meridian Enterprise

The Asset Management Module links asset information obtained from a maintenance management system with the documents shown in Meridian Enterprise. This provides convenient access to asset data to engineering users to manage the links.

The following topics describe how to create, find, and link objects (assets) to documents for viewing by maintenance management system users.

Note    Many of the following topics instruct you to click the Manage Links button on property pages in PowerUser to create and edit the relationships with objects. Typically, to edit the information shown on property pages, you must first click the Edit button on the property page. This is not necessary for the Asset Management Module property pages in PowerUser. However, it is necessary to first click the Edit button on the property page in the Meridian Enterprise Web Client. In the Web Client, the links are created or removed immediately after clicking the appropriate button, not after clicking OK or Apply as is usual. Also, clicking Cancel in the Web Client does not revoke the actions that you have taken while in edit mode.
