Downloading documents

Downloading a document makes an uncontrolled copy of the document on your computer. The copy is not tracked by Meridian Enterprise or the Asset Management Module. If you make changes to the copy, the only way to return it to the vault is as described in Attaching a new revision to a document.

To download a document:

1. View the document that you want to download as described in Viewing the latest revision of a document.
2. Click the Download document icon . The Save As dialog appears.
3. Select a destination for the copy and click OK. The document is copied to the selected location.
