Using the Pan tool
Use the Pan tool to move a file in the viewer window without changing its magnification. To pan the current view, follow these steps:
- Click the Pan button to activate Pan mode. You will next use the pointer to indicate both a distance and a direction.
- Move the pointer to a location to indicate a base point that you want to move to a new location.
- Press the left mouse button and drag the pointer in the direction you want to move the base point. A line will stretch from the base point to the pointer indicating the pan distance and direction.
- Release the mouse button at the location where you want to move the base point. The view shifts the indicated distance and direction.
You can also pan in 50-percent increments using the cursor keys on the keyboard.
