Setting viewer options

The BlueCielo viewer (BlueCielo View Control) appears as BCViewPlugIn in the Viewer Options list of available viewers. Because the BlueCielo viewer supports so many different file formats, its user-configurable options are divided into classes of files:

Each class of options controls the appearance for one or more file formats. For example, the MS Word file options apply only to MS Word documents, but the Raster file options apply to many standard raster formats, such JPG, GIF, BMP, and so on. Some classes are further divided into individual file formats. For example, the Vector class is divided into the AutoCAD, MicroStation, and CADKEY formats, and so on, each with its own specific set of configurable options. Finally, some classes also have separate configurable options for printing versus viewing. This enables you to configure the viewing options to display files faster but print files more accurately, for example.

To change the viewer settings for a particular file format, follow these steps:

  1. Right-click in the viewer and select Viewer Options from the shortcut menu. The Viewer Options dialog appears. The file type of the current document is highlighted in the File Types list and the viewer currently displaying the file is highlighted in the Use Viewers in Order list.

Note    If an AutoVue viewer is active, the AutoVue Viewer Options dialog appears instead. You may configure the options as described in the AutoVue documentation.

  1. Select BCViewPlugIn and click the button. The Viewer Options dialog appears.
  2. Make a selection from Document Class and click View Options or Print Options. Then set the desired options in the dialog box that appears.
  3. Click OK or Close until all dialogs are closed.

For descriptions of the options available with the BlueCielo viewer for each document class, see the following topics.
