Importing documents
Importing a document uploads a copy from your computer to the Meridian Enterprise vault to which the BlueCielo web part is connected. After importing, the document is checked out to you.
To import a document:
- Open the SharePoint library where you want to import the document.
- On the Import menu, select Import Document. The Import Document page appears.
- Click Browse. The Choose File to Upload dialog box appears.
- Browse to and select the file that you want to import and click Open. The path and name of the file appears in the Import document text box.
- Click Upload File. The Document Class page appears.
- Select a class from Document Class. The properties of the document class appear so that you can edit them. Any properties that are required to be set for the selected document class are indicated with a red asterisk *.
- Type values for each required property and click Import. Errors that occur during input validation will appear as red text next to the property that requires correction. The file is uploaded, the Status property of the document changes to Quick Change , and the corresponding icon appears in the Status column. The library contents page then reappears.
