Deleting documents from a transmittal

Deleting documents from a transmittal removes the documents and their related metadata from the transmittal. It does not delete the documents or metadata from the vault.

Before you begin

Documents may only be deleted from a transmittal that is in an editable state in a workflow. If necessary, initiate a workflow for the transmittal before proceeding.

To delete documents from a transmittal:

1. Select the transmittal from which you want to delete documents.
2. Click Document, point to Transmittal Management, and then click View Transmittal. The Transmittal dialog box appears.
3. Select the documents you want to delete and click the Delete From Briefcase button in the toolbar. A confirmation dialog box appears.
4. Click Yes. The documents and their metadata are deleted.
