Reserving licenses

The Meridian Transmittal Management Module client licenses must be reserved for the users who will create and edit transmittals or submittals. If not reserved, the licenses will be claimed by Meridian Enterprise users who simply view transmittals or submittals.

To reserve the Meridian Transmittal Management Module licenses:

1. Create a Windows group in Active Directory that contains the users that will use the Meridian Transmittal Management Module.
2. Reserve the Meridian Transmittal Management Module client licenses for exclusive use by this group of users as described in Reserving licenses in the BlueCielo Meridian Enterprise Administrator's Guide.
3. After several minutes, or after the BlueCielo License Server and Meridian Enterprise EDM Server services have been restarted, open Meridian Enterprise Administrator.
4. Select License Server in the left pane. The License Server property pages appear in the right pane.
5. Click the Users page in the right pane and select Transmittal Management Client in the Licenses list. If the licenses were reserved correctly, the names of the members of the Windows group appear in the Transmittal Management Client license list. Each name is appended with (Reserved) to indicate that the user will have access to available licenses.
