Viewing document properties

The document property values that are shown in the columns of the Transmittal dialog when viewing a transmittal represent the vault values for the documents that were copied to the transmittal at the time the transmittal was created. They do not necessarily match those of the document versions currently in the vault, which may have been modified by other users since the transmittal was created. You can easily see the selected document properties without closing the Transmittal dialog.

To view the current vault properties for a document in a transmittal:

1. Select the transmittal that you want to view.
2. Click Document, point to Transmittal Management, and then click View Transmittal. The Transmittal dialog box appears.
3. Select the document for which you want to view its property values.
4. Click the Document Properties in Vault button in the toolbar. The property pages of the document appear just as they do within PowerUser except that they are read-only. To edit the document properties in the vault, close the transmittal and edit the document’s properties as usual.
