Documentation improvements
All BlueCielo products are supplied with documentation that consists of an Administrator's Guide, a Configuration Guide, a User's Guide, or a combination, depending on the complexity of the product.
All manuals are available in either Microsoft HTML Help (CHM format for on-screen viewing) or Adobe PDF format (for on-screen viewing or printing). Most manuals are available in both formats. Manuals that are available in Adobe PDF format are provided in both LTR and A4 page sizes for optimal printing and are not copy protected.
All manuals provide on-screen cross-reference hyperlinks for convenient navigation to related topics. The Microsoft HTML Help files can be opened with context-sensitive links (press F1 or click Help or click the
button on the toolbar) from appropriate locations in the programs and from shortcuts in the Windows Start menu.
The following improvements have been made to the TeamWork documentation.
- The following documents have been updated, expanded, and corrected:
- BlueCielo TeamWork 2012 Administrator's Guide
- BlueCielo TeamWork 2012 Configuration Guide
- BlueCielo TeamWork 2012 User's Guide
- BlueCielo TeamWork 2012 Release Notes
- BlueCielo TeamWork Supported Software
- All of the manuals that are available in Adobe PDF format can now be installed on the TeamWork server by the setup programs. The documents are automatically detected by TeamWork and added to the Help menu for easy access. You can install other supplemental documentation as described in the BlueCielo TeamWork Administrator's Guide.
- The application links section of the BlueCielo TeamWork User's Guide has been considerably revised.
This was done to:
- Accommodate the growth of the VBScript API.
- Acknowledge the VBScript API as the primary method of customizing BlueCielo products, superceding the COM and .NET APIs, which will continue to be supported.
- Recognize the typical division of responsibilities and skill sets between users who configure BlueCielo products and users who customize the products using programming languages.
- Make the VBScript API Reference more convenient to print alone as a hardcopy desk reference.
- Make VBScript information easier to find.
- The BlueCielo TeamWork Supported Applications document has been renamed to BlueCielo TeamWork Supported Software. This was done to better reflect the operating systems, web browsers, and languages that are listed in the document. The document now also contains the current support life cycle status of BlueCielo TeamWork. This information was previously found in the BlueCielo Products Life Cycle Policy document that has been largely replaced by the BlueCielo Customer Guide to Support Services.
- The BlueCielo TeamWork Release Notes (this document) has been shortened by eliminating information about versions that are no longer supported.
