When
using AMUpdate to automatically distribute updates to client machines,
the client computers could suddenly reboot at the end of setup. To prevent
this AMUpdate has been improved: at the end of the setup, a message is
displayed with the choice to restart now or restart later. To suppress
this message, and revert to the original behavior, specify the /Q
option on the command line for AMUpdate.exe.
When
using AMUpdate to automatically distribute updates to client machines,
AMUpdate always caused a reboot on installing a client update while in
fact it was not always required. This has been improved.
The
Task Server requires Windows 2000 or above, so it cannot be installed
on Windows NT4. This is now reflected in AutoManager 2003d installation.
The
AutoManager 2003d installation will now display a warning when installing
over a previously installed NetViewer.
Earlier previous versions of AutoManager 2003 would install correctly.
But uninstalling the NetViewer afterwards would unregistering the AMDownload
component. This would require a repair of the AutoManager installation.
