New in AM2003d: Application Links

• Two problems introduced in AutoManager 2003c have been resolved in 2003d.

1. After saving a raster image from Raster Design 2004, the image file would be read-only and could not be edited in the same session if Local Workspace was used.
2. When loading the AutoCAD link, AutoCAD would revert to the Single Document Interface. A hotfix is available for 2003c.

• Inventor title block update failed for title blocks containing prompted properties without a value. This is now fixed.
   
• Having prompted properties in an Inventor Title Block that do not have a value and updating then the title block on release quick change/submit working copy didn't work. This is now fixed.
   
• When adding an Inventor Title Block into a non-active sheet, it was not kept on save operation. This is now fixed.
   
• When having an embedded bitmap in the title block of Inventor 5.3 SP2 and launching this document from the client, Inventor crashed (with the Inventor Link loaded). This is now fixed.
   
• When using 'Synchronize properties from file' and 'Synchronize properties to file' the values were always written, not depending on the setting of the read/write control flag (RW, RO, WO) in the Inventor Title Block settings. This is now fixed.
   
• In AutoManager 2003c version 'HideIcon' registry key for Application Integration was not working properly. This has been fixed in AutoManager 2003d version. In addition a new registry key for Application Integration was introduced - 'DisableAIMenu'. When being set this registry key hides the following Application Integration menu items:
• 'Default behaviour...';
• 'Modify exclusion list';
• If you want to use this registry key, add the following DWORD registry value under
  HKLM\SOFTWARE\Cyco\<Active Product>\CurrentVersion\AMHookTray on the client machine: "DisableAIMenu"=dword:00000001.
   
  • When doing "Save As" in AutoCAD 2004, "Out of memory" error message appeared for certain vault configurations, which were using AutoPages functionality. This is now fixed.
     
  • When creating Inventor document through Application Integration, the Inventor Link did not perform property update from the vault to the Inventor file. This is now improved and the Inventor Link makes property update in this case.
     
  • When using Local Workspace for working with MicroStation drawings, in the situation when submitted X-Ref is moved to another folder (for example, after changing a FPR property of this document) it is present both in old and new locations in Local Workspace cache. MicroStation link was resolving this X-Ref from the old location, deleting also AMDocRef object to this X-Ref. This is now changed in AutoManager 2003d so that this X-Ref is resolved correctly in this situation.
     
  • The "AutoManager Derive" function in the Inventor Link worked incorrectly for a parts with an outgoing reference to an Excel sheet. This has been resolved.
     
  • The "AutoManager Derive" function in the Inventor Link worked incorrectly for a parts or assemblies with an incoming reference from an IDW or IPN file. This has been resolved.
     
  • When using the Assembly Import Tool for importing an Inventor Assembly, the Assembly Import Tool locked imported documents even if Local Workspace was not in use for the current vault. This is improved in AutoManager 2003d so that the Assembly Import Tool does not lock imported documents anymore.
     
  • When using the Assembly Import Tool for importing a SolidWorks Assembly, if SolidWorks was already started before running the Assembly Import Tool, it was closed after Assembly Import Tool was finished. This is now improved and SolidWorks is not closed in this situation anymore.
     
  • When doing AutoMananger Replace, there was no confirmation dialog. It is improved now and the confirmation message "Are you sure you want to replace the selected component with the most recent replacement?" is shown.
     
  • When using "Go to last document" functionality in Application Integration for the large vaults with a deep subfolder structure, this resulted in significant performance problem (delays). It was not possible to make this "Go to last document" optional. It is improved now in AutoManager 2003d - new registry keys are introduced, which control this functionality:

  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cyco\<Active Product>\CurrentVersion\AMHook\Settings

  FindLastObjectOnOpen DWORD, default is 1

  FindLastObjectOnView DWORD, default is 1

  To disable this functionality you should set 0 for an appropriate registry key.
