It is possible to use the Kodak Imaging control
to view TIF files. See the Cyco Software Knowledge Base article (search
for “Kodak”) for details how to enable this viewer.
Starting with version 2003a it is possible to
view Inventor drawings, assemblies and parts using the Inventor Viewer
control. This control is a standard part of Inventor 6 and later. To install
this control stand alone, download and install "Autodesk Inventor
Design Tracking" from the Autodesk website.
Starting with version 2003a it is possible to
use VoloView or VoloView Express as viewer for (among others) AutoCAD,
Mechanical Desktop and Architectural Desktop drawings.
The AutoManager Viewer Control has been largely
rewritten to allow for the use of VoloView and the Inventor view control
as viewers inside AutoManager. As a consequence the class name of the
control was changed to AMViewX2Ex. The CLSID, however, was unchanged.
If you use the View Control in a custom Visual Basic project, in most
cases you would not need to recompile your project. If you do need to
recompile, make sure the new Viewer Control is referenced (you will get
a number of errors from Visual Basic when you open your project).
Fixed/Improved issues:
The AutoCAD viewer displayed Unloaded Xrefs as
if they were loaded. This is now improved.
The viewer did not correctly recognize certain
AutoCAD Release 14 drawings.
