BlueCielo TeamWork 2012 Administrator's Guide | BlueCielo ECM Solutions |
By default, the TeamWork viewer that is used by most of the TeamWork client applications will automatically refresh whenever the user navigates to another document regardless of whether the user actually wants to view the document or not. This is convenient for the user but it impacts network performance, and thereby, client computer performance, because uncached documents must be downloaded from the TeamWork application server for viewing and the user cannot perform any other actions while the viewer is rendering the document on screen.
To improve client computer performance and reduce network traffic, users can disable automatic refreshes of the TeamWork viewer on their computers. The amount of performance that can be gained depends on the number of documents viewed, the use and contents of the Local Workspace, the size of the documents, the network bandwidth, and the client computer hardware.
To disable automatic refreshes, see the topic regarding setting personal options in the BlueCielo TeamWork User's Guide.
