Configuring application response

The Windows operating systems can be configured to give higher priority to foreground applications versus background services with the Application response option. Because the TeamWork application server programs run as background services, this option should always be set to give them the higher priority in order to maximize performance.

To configure the Application response option:

  1. In Windows Explorer, right-click Computer and select Properties.
  2. Click Advanced system settings in the Task list. The System Properties dialog box appears with the Advanced property page shown.
  3. Click the Settings button in the Performance group. The Performance Options dialog box appears.
  4. Click the Advanced tab. The Processor scheduling and Virtual memory options are shown.
  5. Select Background services and click OK.
