Workflow

Document type workflow is used for the workflow of the Submittal and Transmittal document type groups. This modifies the current document to become a new revision. The Create New Version command may also be used, which creates a copy of the document and leaves the original in place until the new version is released, the copy goes through the built-in workflow.

The following table lists the workflow states that the documents must go through before being released as a new revision.

These states and the other possible workflow states are illustrated in the following figure.
