Archive options

The following options have been configured that result in archiving a document.

• Released documents in all branches of the vault except project copies can be manually archived and restored using the Meridian Enterprise Retire command.
• Project copies of documents in the Plant group are automatically archived when they are released as master revisions. The original master copy is moved to the Masters folder of the archive and the project copy is moved to the Projects folder of the archive. There is an option to delete the project copy after the master copy has been archived if the project copy serves no business purpose. This option is disabled by default.
• Documents in the Generic document type group are archived after a newer revision of the document has been released. This is applies when the new revision was created using the Meridian Enterprise Create New Version command and when the new revision is released.
