Importing project and in-progress data

Both the Database Import Wizard and the Document Import Tool can be used to import project documents. Neither tool can create project folders and there is currently no tool available to convert regular folders to project folders.

The properties that are important when importing project data are the following:

Critical import properties
Option	Description
Masters	Determines the sub-folders in the Projects branch.
Status	Determines the workflow state of the documents that are imported. In general, Quick Change and Released are good initial values.
ProjectName1	The project in which the documents should be imported.
ProjectName2	The sub-project in which the documents should be imported.
ProjectType	The type of project (Design/As-built).
ProjectFolder	The suggested project folder for the new document. Can automatically be changed by configuration rules.

Document project copies are automatically linked to their master document if the DocumentNr field matches.
