Vault configuration

The typical way to copy a vault configuration is by exporting and importing a .MET file.

Although a .MET file contains a large amount of vault settings, it does not contain a complete combination of settings. However, for updating existing environments, the .MET file is the best tool.

For the distribution of updates to the environment, streams, vault backup, and extension share, a .MET file is provided. This combination gives a full configuration update of the core solution. Additional files may be included in an update, to update settings of specific modules.

A batch file has been created to archive all related files of an installation. The batch file can be found in the following location:

\Miscellaneous\Implementation\Configuration\Archive

Most documents that are required to recreate the virtual machine, like license keys, registry files, and other configuration files are also stored inside the vault at:

\Miscellaneous\Implementation\Configuration
