Outdated client warnings

Attempting to open a vault with an outdated version of Meridian Enterprise client software can cause errors or prevent access to new functionality. The client software version should always be the same as the server software.

To help prevent computers from getting overlooked during software upgrades, Meridian checks the version of the client software to ensure that it meets the minimum required. If the version is not sufficient, a warning is shown to the user and the client is closed.

Configure the outdated client warning with the settings described in the following table.

The setting CLIENTBUILDNUMBER indicated the minimum client version level required to access the environment. Users that access the environment with a PowerUser or Office client that has an older build number will be notified and the client will be terminated.

You can set the number to 0000 to disable the functionality.
