Plant group revision numbers

The settings that control the revision numbers of documents in the Plant group are described in the following table.

Plant group revision number settings
Setting	Default	Description
REVISION_INITIAL		Initial revision (not used).
REVISION_LEVEL1_FIRST	0	Scheme for the first level revision (master document).
REVISION_LEVEL2_FIRST	A	Scheme for the second level revision (project copy).
REVISION_LEVEL3_FIRST	R1	Scheme for the third level revision (sub-project).
REVISION_NUMLEN	2	The length of the plant revision number.
REVISION_INCREMENTONPROJECTCOPY	false	True increments the revision number when a document is added to a project. False increments it when the document is released from a project.
REVISION_SEPARATOR	.	Characters used to separate the revision number elements.

Major revision numbering is used when a document is released as a master document revision. Minor revision numbering is used for revisions within a project.

The result of configuring the revision number as shown in the preceding table is:

A,B,C, and so on until the document is first released.
00 as soon as the document has been released as a master document revision.
00.A, 00.B, and so on when the document is assigned to a project again.
01 when the document has been released as another master document revision.
