Publishing documents from a Windows folder

The Publisher supports the Windows file system as a source for publishing documents. A system administrator configures a service running on a Windows file server to monitor a specified folder. When documents are created or moved to that folder, the service automatically registers them for publishing. Consult a system administrator for the locations of folders that are configured for publishing.

Note    If the documents contain references to other files, those files must also reside in the same folder.

When the publishing will occur depends (among other factors) on the configuration of the publishing job that is assigned to the vault by a system administrator.

You can view the documents that you submitted as described in Viewing the Publisher queue.

After the documents have been successfully published, they are moved to the Published sub-folder.
