Release 2012 SP3
BlueCielo Publisher 2012 SP3 added the following new features and improvements:
- A new rendering module, PDF Merge, is available that renders a set of documents that are related together by a Meridian Enterprise reference or property value. After rendering, the module merges the renditions together into a single Adobe PDF file.
- The SharePoint publishing module now supports publishing managed metadata fields between SharePoint sites.
- The SharePoint publishing module supports new _SITE_ and _LIB_ publishing options.
- The AutoVue rendering module and the PDF Merge rendering module now support a _PAGERANGE_ option to render only a specified range of pages.
- The Publisher setup program now creates an application pool named BC-Publisher with the correct settings for use with the Publisher web service. Execution credentials must still be entered onsite.
- Documents that fail to publish can be automatically retried by configuring a global RetryCount setting.
- A new publishing option _RETRY_<Count>_ is provided that overrides the global RetryCount setting.
- The MeridianQueue object in VBScript has been extended with new functions BeginBatch(VaultID), CommitBatch(VaultID), and RevokeBatch(VaultID) for publishing batches of documents programmatically. For more information, see the BlueCielo Publisher Administrator's Guide.
- A new option has been added to vault configuration named Fail the whole batch operation when any duplicate is found. This option will revoke batches registered with the preceding methods if documents are registered in the publishing queue more than once.
- If a document is rendered to a different format than previously, Publisher now clears the _VIEWERDATA property of the document so that the rendition is shown in the correct viewer in Meridian Enterprise.
- The BlueCielo Application Manager now shows the correct version numbers.
- The _NORENDER_ rendering option now returns an empty file so that the publishing job can complete without errors.
- The .dwf file extension has been added to the AutoVue rendering module File extensions option.
- Redlines are now published if AutoVue 20.0.3 or higher is installed on the Publisher computer.
- The BlueCielo Application Manager could fail to validate the publishing settings if the AutoVue rendering module was not installed by the Publisher setup program.
- The AutoCAD rendering module could fail to render some drawings that were conversions from other CAD applications because the drawings could not be opened in AutoCAD. The rendering module now sets the DwgCheck system variable to 2 when it starts AutoCAD and resets it to the original value when AutoCAD is closed.
- In the AutoCAD rendering module, detection of media sizes from layouts has been improved.
- The AutoCAD rendering module Orientation option From property has been replaced by From global paper settings.
- The Timeout option of the AutoCAD rendering module did not work when rendering a corrupted AutoCAD drawing was attempted. AutoCAD would stop responding and the publishing job would wait indefinitely.
- The MicroStation rendering module now respects the following settings from a batch plot template if one is specified: Printer, PlotArea, and Display. The other settings are overridden by the rendering module options.
- The width of the form field that is inserted into renditions by the eSignature rendering module and that receives print stamp text has been widened to the full page width.
- A new publishing option _NOREDLINES_ prevents the publishing of redlines.
