The following are known problems with this Publisher release:
If the SharePoint library Require Check Out options is enabled and a feedback property is configured, updates of the feedback property will fail. Also, if the Document Version History option is enabled, publishing documents will create new revisions of the source documents.
When MicroStation V8 XM is installed for rendering on the Publisher computer, the MicroStation rendering module must be configured with the Run MicroStation interactively option enabled.
The AutoCAD rendering module has the following limitations:
Rendering from multiple layouts to a single file is not supported.
PDF renditions could have a portrait orientation after rendering.
If the module loads an old Autodesk Mechanical Desktop drawing, the AutoCAD session might display a dialog stating “You cannot edit Autodesk Mechanical Desktop drawings in AutoCAD Mechanical. All AutoCAD Mechanical commands, including SAVE, are now disabled.” Rendering will not proceed until a user clicks the Close button in this dialog. If the button is not clicked, rendering will terminate when the publishing job’s configured timeout period has elapsed. This is a technical problem with AutoCAD. Such drawings should be upgraded or not rendered.
The AutoCAD rendering module installed with the Publisher is compatible with AutoCAD 2011 and 2012. If AutoCAD 2010 is used for rendering, the following error might occur, “Error of starting AutoCAD” consistently on 64-bit operating systems. If this happens, replace the rendering module files with ones created specifically for AutoCAD 2010. These are included in the \AutoCAD 2010 folder of the installation package. First back up the existing files located in the installation folder (by default, C:\Program Files(x86)\BlueCielo Publisher) to a location outside of the installation folder and its subfolders.
The Oracle AutoVue rendering module has the following limitations:
In order to apply the correct paper sizes, the AutoVue Document Converter is set as the default printer during rendering if it is not already.
Filled black rectangles can appear around shaded models in the PDF output of Autodesk Inventor .idw and .dwg files. This can be prevented by enabling the AutoVue Document Converter option Spool print documents so program finishes printing faster.
Printer drivers that display dialog boxes during printing are not supported. This issue may be resolved in a future release.
If the Keep Modification Information option is enabled for a BlueCieloMeridian Enterprise destination vault, it is possible to produce inconsistencies between the source and destination systems. This can occur if the document is modified without updating the Modified file attribute and published again. An example of this is when title block properties are updated by the Meridian Enterprise PowerUser client.
If Publisher is installed on a computer where the Meridian Enterprise server components are also installed and then the Publisher is uninstalled, an error can occur with the EDM Server service. To prevent the error, run the Meridian Enterprise setup wizard and select the Repair option.
The AutoVue Document Converter that is used by the AutoVue rendering module might not install correctly on computers with 64-bit operating systems. If it fails to install:
Extract the contents of AutoVuePDFDocumentConverter_20.1.1.zip that is included in the distribution package to a temporary location.
Run InstallPdfPrintDriver.exe as an administrator of the computer. The AutoVue Document Converter window appears and shows the installation progress and results.
