Configuring signature pages

You will typically need to create multiple signature page definitions, if not for separate purposes (document types), then for each watermark page size.

Before you begin

The vault must first be configured with at least one publishing job in which renditions are generated as described in Configuring the rendering options.

To create signature pages:

In BlueCielo Application Manager, expand the name of the publishing job in the configuration tree that you want to generate signature pages.
Select the Configuration branch in the configuration tree. The job's configuration pages appear in the right pane.
Click the Post Rendition tab. The Post Rendition configuration page appears.
In the Signature pages group, select the Enable checkbox. When disabled, all signature pages are disabled.
Create a signature page definition in the Signature pages group.

Tip To quickly and easily create a new signature page using an existing signature page as a template, copy the existing signature page using the instructions later in this topic.

Click Add. The Properties: New page dialog appears.
Select or enter options using the descriptions in the following table.

Signature page options
Option	Description
Name	The name of the signature page definition.
Paper size	Select the rendition page size to which this signature page will be applied. If no size is selected, this signature page definition will be considered as a default that will be applied to the renditions of all sizes created by the current publishing job.
Orientation	Select the rendition page orientation to which this signature page will be applied. If no orientation is selected, this signature page definition will be considered as a default that will be applied to the renditions of all sizes created by the current publishing job.
Enable signature page	Select this option to configure the options for this watermark type.
Always	If selected, this signature page will be attached to every rendition of the selected size and orientation.
When property value from the source document	If selected, this signature page will only be attached to renditions when the source document property selected from the list equals the specified value.
File	Accept the default, which is an example installed by the Publisher setup program or click Browse and select an existing HTML template file that has been created as described in Creating a signature page template. You can modify the example file or use it as a template to create variations for other purposes.
Size	Select the default page size of the signature page template. This size will override the Paper size option if that option is set or specify the signature page size if the option is not set (a default signature page).
Timeout	Type the number of seconds for the system to wait for the watermark operation to complete before generating an error and proceeding to the next document. The default is 60 seconds.

Click Close to save your changes. The new watermark name appears in the list.
Repeat steps 5 to 7 for each signature page that you want to define.

To edit a signature page:

In BlueCielo Application Manager, expand the name of the publishing job in the configuration tree that defines the signature page.
Select the Configuration branch in the configuration tree. The job's configuration pages appear in the right pane.
Click the Post Rendition tab. The Post Rendition configuration page appears.
Select the signature page in the list that you want to edit and click Edit. The signature page's Properties dialog appears.
Select or enter options using the descriptions in the preceding table.

To delete a signature page:

In BlueCielo Application Manager, expand the name of the publishing job in the configuration tree that defines the signature page.
Select the Configuration branch in the configuration tree. The job's configuration pages appear in the right pane.
Click the Post Rendition tab. The Post Rendition configuration page appears.
Select the signature page in the list that you want to delete and click Remove. The signature page is deleted.

To copy a signature page:

In BlueCielo Application Manager, expand the name of the publishing job in the configuration tree that defines the signature page.
Select the Configuration branch in the configuration tree. The job's configuration pages appear in the right pane.
Click the Post Rendition tab. The Post Rendition configuration page appears.
Select the signature page in the list that you want to copy and click Copy. The signature page is copied with the name Copy of <SourceSignaturePageName>. You can rename the signature page.

To preview a signature page:

In BlueCielo Application Manager, expand the name of the publishing job in the configuration tree that you want to configure.
Select the Configuration branch in the configuration tree. The job's configuration pages appear in the right pane.
Click the Post Rendition tab. The Post Rendition configuration page appears.
Select the signature page in the list that you want to preview and click Preview. The system generates an example Adobe PDF file using the current signature page settings and opens the file for viewing.
