Changing the job code of a publishing job
The job code of a publishing job is assigned automatically when the job is created. This guarantees that the job code is unique among all of the publishing jobs. You might want to change the job code for reasons such as:
- To make the job code more memorable or descriptive of the publishing job that it represents.
- To make the job code match job codes that you have assigned to folders monitored by the BlueCielo File Publishing Service.
Note A job code may only contain letters or digits and it must be unique among all of the publishing jobs defined in the system.
To change the job code of a publishing job:
- In the BlueCielo Application Manager configuration tree, select BlueCielo Publisher 2012. The existing publishing jobs appear in the right pane.
- Right-click the name of the publishing job that you want to rename. The shortcut menu appears.
- Select Change Job Code. The Change Job Code dialog appears.
- Edit the text in Job Code as necessary.
- If the Publisher queue already contains document registrations that use the original publish code and they might be restarted, select Automatically update all Queue items with the change.
- Click OK. The new job code is validated and, if acceptable, the change is saved. If the new job code is invalid, the change is aborted and you must try again.
