Configuring the AutoVue rendering module options

The AutoVue rendering options specify which source document formats to render and to which format in the destination system.

To configure the Oracle AutoVue rendering options:

  1. In BlueCielo Application Manager, expand the name of the publishing job in the configuration tree that you want to configure.
  2. Select the Configuration branch in the configuration tree. The job's configuration pages appear in the right pane.
  3. Click the Rendition tab. The Rendition configuration page appears.
  4. Select Oracle AutoVue and click Options. The AutoVue Rendering Module Options dialog box appears.
  5. Click options or type values using the descriptions in the following table.

Option Description

File extensions

A semicolon-delimited (;) list of source file extensions to be rendered by this module.

To modify the list:

  1. Click Change. The Input File Extensions dialog box appears.
  2. Select the file extensions that you want to be rendered by Oracle AutoVue.
  3. Click Close. The list is refreshed to show your selections.

Format

The output file format to which to render files with the extensions listed in the File extensions option.

File extension

The file extension (without period) to assign to the output files rendered by this module.

Timeout

The number of seconds for the rendering module to wait for AutoVue to complete rendering before the publishing job is stopped and the AutoVue process terminated. A timeout can occur if there is a data error in the source document.

Document pages

Which pages to render. To render only a range of pages, select Range and then type the page numbers in From and To. To render the current page as last saved in the document, select Current. Available only for PDF output.

Name

An AutoVue pen table that specifies the pen width of each line color. Available only for PDF output.

Units

Unit of measurement in which the pen widths are expressed. Available only for PDF output.

Force all colors to black

Select for monochrome output. Available only for PDF output.

Color Depth

Select a bit length to control the number of colors in the output file. Not available for Adobe PDF output.

subFormat

Select a subformat for the output file. Available only for TIF output.

Scale

The scale of the output image relative to the original file. Not available for Adobe PDF output.

Size

Type the number of pixels in the X and Y dimensions for the output image. Not available for Adobe PDF output.

Use global paper settings

Select this option if the page size and orientation are stored as property values for the source documents and the corresponding options are selected as described in Configuring the rendering options. If those options are not selected, select default values from Paper size and Orientation.

Use defaults if paper settings can not be matched

Select this option to configure a default page size and orientation if the values that are retrieved as described in Configuring the rendering options are missing or do not match those provided by the operating system.
  1. NEW  To retrieve rendering options from the source document properties:
    1. Click Advanced. The Advanced Options dialog box appears.
    2. Click options using the descriptions in the following table. We recommend that you use the properties in the Rendition Properties property set.
Property mapping options
Option Description

Get layout from a property value of the source document

Property that contains the page layout name to render. The supported property values are:

  • All Paperspace Views (all views except model space)
  • All Views
  • Current Views
  • A number (the number of the page layout to render). This is the same as typing the same number in From and To in the parent dialog box.
  • A number range specified as <StartNumber>;<EndNumber>. This is the same as typing the starting and ending page numbers in From and To in the parent dialog box.

Get pen table from a property value of the source document

Property that contains the pen table name with which to render.

Get color from a property value of the source document

Property that contains the color depth to render. The supported property values are:

  • Color
  • Any other value will render all colors as black (monochrome)
  1. Click OK to save your changes.
  1. Click OK to save your rendering options.
  2. Click to save the configuration changes.
