Understanding the Throughput Times view

The Throughput Times view is available with the Advanced Dashboard add-in. It provides in-depth analysis on status transitions in a certain document / folder lifecycle. Use it to monitor documents and their time spent in different life-cycle phases. For each transition, the distribution of transition times as well as the average transition time and the number of documents that have gone through that transition are shown.

First select the entries for analysis in the view, see Figure 13. Figure 14: Scope, Distribution and Distribution entries

The default scope is all folders. The other scope that can be selected depends on the folder that is selected in the tree structure in a workspace. Sub-folders of the selected folder can also be included in this scope.

To view the Throughput Times view:

  1. In the Dashboard menu, click Throughput Times. The Throughput Times view appears but no data is shown until you select from the available options.
  2. Select an option for Scope, Distributions, and Distribution entries.
  3. On the Options tab, select options for either Analyse throughput times for document lifecycle or Analyse throughput times for document lifecycle.

The current data for your selections is shown on the other tabs in the view as in the following descriptions.
