Importing only documents and files

You can import multiple documents and their file attachments without importing their parent folders. This can be useful to import documents to folders that were previously imported as described in Exporting and importing subfolders.

Before you begin

The import source files must consist of a document metadata file (document properties) and an archive file (file attachments). The document metadata file must be in the correct format so that Meridian Project Portal can distinguish it from a workspace metadata file as described in Exporting and importing parts of workspaces. Create the metadata file as described in Understanding KRONOCSV files. The metadata file may be contained in the archive file.

To import only documents and files:

• Follow the procedure for importing part of a workspace as described in Exporting and importing parts of workspaces except specify a KRONOCSV file for the Structure file option or include the KRONOCSV file in the archive file specified for the Archive file option.
