About distribution groups

Distribution groups are a convenient way of sending emails to many users and to other groups. Distribution groups are not used to control security as are access groups. Each user account can belong to one or more distribution groups in the same workspace. Distribution group definitions are specific to each workspace. Thus it is possible, for example, to assign a particular user to an administrative distribution group in one workspace and to a design distribution group in another workspace. Distribution groups may also be nested within other distribution groups to create a hierarchy.
