Registering and unregistering for notification

You can register yourself and others to receive notifications about changes to items. Registering someone else to receive notifications is the same as them subscribing to the item themselves as described in Subscribing to and unsubscribing from items.

Note    Registered notifications do not use your personal notification settings as described in Configuring notification preferences. Instead, the notifications use workspace-wide notification settings that are specified by a workspace administrator.

To register for notification:

1. Open the item's property page for editing as described in Viewing and editing folder properties or Viewing and editing document properties accordingly. The item's property page appears.
2. In the Notifications section, for the Notification property, click options or type values using the descriptions in the following table.

3. Click Save. The property page refreshes to show the additions to the Notification property.

To unregister for notification:

1. Open the item's property page for editing as described in Viewing and editing folder properties or Viewing and editing document properties accordingly. The item's property page appears.

2. In the Notifications section, in the Notification property, delete the user name, group name, or email address that you want to unregister.

   OR

   In the Notifications section, for the Notification property, clear Meridian Project Portal users, groups and email addresses.to unregister all notification recipients.

3. Click Save. The property page refreshes to show the changes to the Notification property.
