Searching with Quick Find

Using Quick Find to search for documents is the simplest search method of all. Quick Find performs a Google-like search based on the words you type. The properties that are searched can be pre-configured. Quick Find also supports the OR and - operators.

To search with Quick Find:

  1. To search in more than the active library, click the search in button. A dialog listing the available libraries appears. Select the libraries that you want to search and click OK.
  2. Select the properties that you want to search as described in Configuring the Quick Find options.
  3. Type the words that you want to find in the Quick Find text box in the toolbar.
  4. Press Type or click the Quick Find button . The results of the search in each of the libraries that you selected in step 1 appear in separate Search result pages in the document list pane.
