Arranging the properties pane layout

The tabs in the properties pane can be arranged independently with four possible configuration options, as described in the following table:

Properties pane layout options
Option	Description
Dockable	Allows the pane to be docked (attached) to any side of the ProjectForce window. Can be used with Floating.
Hidden	Makes the pane invisible. To display it again, enable it on the View menu.
Floating	Allows the pane to float (unattached) anywhere on the Windows desktop. Can be used with Dockable.
Auto Hide	Causes the pane to collapse automatically to a row of tabs when the pointer moves outside the pane. The pane automatically expands when the pointer moves inside the row of tabs.

To change the properties pane layout:

Right-click a properties pane tab or the title bar of a tab and choose one of the options described in the preceding table from the shortcut menu.
To restore a floating property tab back to its default position in the properties pane, enable its Dockable option and drag the tab into the properties pane until docking guides appear, similar to the following figure.

The docking guide icons have the following meanings:

Docks the tab to the side of the window indicated by the arrowhead.

Docks the tab in the shaded tab group.

Drag the tab to the docking guide that represents the position in the ProjectForce window where you want to dock the tab. The area where the tab will be docked will appear shaded to help you select the correct position. When you are satisfied that the correct position is selected, drop the tab.
