Understanding the architecture

Documents in BlueCielo ProjectForce are stored in SharePoint libraries. Depending on your organization’s configuration, you might require one or more libraries, for example, one library that contains project documents and another library that contains master documents. A library acts as a secure, central repository for the storage of documents while they undergo changes.

A BlueCielo ProjectForce system is comprised of one or more server computers and numerous client computers. The server computers host the following components:

• Microsoft SharePoint (server or farm)
• BlueCielo License Server

The following figure illustrates the location of documents when they are checked out and checked in. By default, when a document is checked out, it is copied to a pre-configured local folder known as the local workspace.
