Meridian Cloud provides an array of built-in security roles that are designed to work with the Meridian Cloud vault structure and the tasks that most Meridian Cloud users perform within their organizations. Each Meridian Cloud scope has its own set of roles so that you can grant users different abilities in different areas of the vault and for different types of data. You can apply these roles to folders to meet your requirements as described in Assigning security roles to a folder.
Note Meridian Power user accounts and security roles do not apply within Meridian Portal, which has a separate security model as described in Managing security roles in the Meridian Portal Knowledge Base.
The security roles in the following table are global in scope and affect the entire tenancy.
Role | Ability |
---|---|
Account Administrator | Manage groups, ADFS synchronization, and SAML authentication. |
Account Configurator | Manage project types, document types, property definitions, lookup property values, and so on. |
The following are the scope administrator roles. They are assigned at the root of the vault and apply to the entire scope.
Role | Ability |
---|---|
Master Administrator |
Full access in the Master scope |
Archive Administrator | Full access in the Archive scope |
Project Administrator |

Documentation Administrator | Full access in the Documentation scope |

The abilities of the remaining security roles that are limited to one scope are listed in the following topics.
